"This series fills the Firefly-shaped hole in my heart!"

A good old fashioned space opera reminiscent of Isaac Asimov and Robert A. Heinlein, with one significant difference. Our hero is a woman! Love it!

A kick ass space pirate in a kick ass story that had the feeling of Firefly without being like it.

Plots, counter plots and betrayals. If this book were more exciting, it's pages would burst into flame.

The next Firefly and more ... As a space pirate Indy Jackson reminds me of Mal in Firefly.

The heroine in this book was really enjoyable to read! She was snarky, clever, witty, unafraid, bold - all the things you would expect of a 'pirate'!

'24' meets 'Firefly' meets 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer'

The reader will love the heroine immediately! She is snarky and likeable right from the start! She uses her wits to deal with whatever comes her way. I loved the storyline and the constant adrenaline rush!

I liked seeing a girl take on the bad guys instead of looking for a man to rescue her.

A fine swashbuckling space tale with an unlikely band of misfits doing the right thing in some unconventional ways.

This is a great space adventure that takes the reader from one twist to another.

Twists and turns kept me wondering where this tale would take me ...

Plenty of adventure, suspense, drama and surprises.

It was very fast-paced, filled with quite a few twists ...

There are quite a few enjoyable plot twists. Plan on missing deadlines as you get absorbed into the novel!

... a non-stop rollercoaster ride the rest of the way. It was next to impossible to stop reading to see how the next crisis would be cleverly overcome.

Once transported into the story, it was like being on a modern day Enterprise (Roddenberry like) if they were a more likely crew of Millennium Falcon (Lucas like), or better yet Serenity & crew (Firefly & Joss Whedon like)!

Could NOT put it down.

This is one of the best books i have read in months. It is fast paced, and action filled with lots of surprises.

I've found I really like science fiction (space opera) novels with snarky heroes -- in this case, heroine -- who won't hesitate to fight, verbally, physically, or mentally, to win. This is a throwback to the golden age of space opera with all the modern techniques and sensibilities at the hands of a writer who knows how to entertain.

I'd Rather Die - Public Speaking Survival Skills

Most people would rather die than speak in public. Luckily for us, Robert Scanlon delivers THE definitive manual to teach you the skills you need to become a better speaker. Whether you've been doing this for years or are just starting out, I'd Rather Die! Public Speaking Survival Skills is really the only resource you'll need to be wowing audiences, no matter what the subject.

J. Thorn, Amazon Top 100 Most Popular Horror Writer and Public Speaker

I read this book and laughed through the first two paragraphs Why? Because the remarks were so true about our fear getting in front of people and talking. I could relate to each description.

I am a Motivational Speaker myself and still get those butterflies, dry mouth, and weak knees getting up to talk. People never notice, but my body knows every vibration going through it from the fright.

I'm glad Mr. Scanlon asked me to review the book because it helped me beyond words. I am going to start my talks a lot differently now and concentrate on pulling the audience in more than having them sit for an hour with just listening to me talk.

Alberta Sequeira, Motivational Speaker and Author

Within the first four pages I knew that this was a book that is about far more than just overcoming a fear of public speaking, it is a book about becoming an exceptional public speaker.

The book deals with all forms of public speaking, whether you have to educate, entertain, or both! Robert breaks everything down, so not only do you not fear getting in front of the audience, but when you are up there you will have something to say that they will resonate with, without fail.

Simon Whistler, RockingSelfPublishing.com

I have been speaking at events for over twenty years and yet I found this book packed with re-enforcement of tips many of us have forgotten and loads of new ideas for delivering a great, confident presentations any audience. It was so engaging I read it in no time, whereas I have never finished other texts I have purchased on this topic

The Dreamer Chronicles Series

Unputdownable - like a roller coaster you just don't want to end

It's a roller coaster journey, it starts out gently and as you get deeper into the plot and the characters you can feel the build up just like a roller coaster spiraling forever upwards and then its whoosh as the plot clicks into the next gear and you start plummeting down in a series of twists and turns and .... well you'll just have to read it ... be prepared for some sleepless nights as this is pretty much un-put-downable.

Robert ... we want more!

The first two books in this series are very, very good. This one is brilliant! What makes it so great? Well firstly the plot is completely compelling, and secondly the scientific theme of this book relies on something that we can all understand…the moon!

So we see our favourite characters Sarina and Nathan quickly caught up in a race to save the entire universe, with the usual backdrop of Sarina's artistic future hanging in the balance. It's a formula that works incredibly well, and for all young (8-15) science fiction/fantasy lovers who are creative arty types at heart, this is a definite winner.
