I noticed one reviewer of ‘Sarina’s Nightmare’ suggest that the prospective reader take some time to learn the pronunciation of some of the ‘fantasy character names’!
While I think they may have been writing with tongue firmly in cheek, it’s a good point.
When I was proofing the book, one of the last things I did was to run the manuscript through a ‘text-to-speech’ – and found that, yes, some of those names may NOT be being pronounced the way I had imagined haha!
So here’s a quick run-down:
Paolo = pow[as in ‘power’]-low
Makthryg = Mack-thrigg
Valkrog = Vall[as in ‘valley’]-crogg
The rest are easy!
